Last Saturday was Gem's graduation day. Graduation day in UI is always hot, and uncomfortable. There's no such thing as happy tears, no proud walk up to the stage, no dramatic wave to your family and friends. I know Gem thinks it was pointless--he walked out of the Balairung when he wasn't supposed to. Maybe the most important thing about the day was to take pictures wearing the cap and gown. But.
*cue dramatic music*
It was a big day for me. It was a milestone. It felt like one battle was won, and I feel like I can win more.
...It's hard to explain, but you know what I mean. Or not, doesn't matter. We've come so far and it's nice to know that there will be many adventures to come.
